WE committee chair, Caroline:
I don't remember a time when my head hasn't been in a book or two .. or three... Some of these I've read a dozen times, others I’m reading for the very first time. Some of my favourites are waiting patiently in my bookcase at school; Witi Ihimaera and Whiti Hereaka’s Pūrākau, Rachael King’s Magpie Hall, Donna Tartt’s The Secret History and Neruda’s Twenty love poems and a song of Despair. They would be part of this collection had they been at home. Books, coffee, curled up quietly is one of my happiest places to be.
Share your shelfies with us. What are you reading and enjoying during lockdown? We hope it’s not just marking, and we’d love to see what is sitting on your shelf, or that massive pile beside your bed. We know you have one…!
